The entire idea that Iran or Iraq have secret agents all across the US is ludicrous. Which country has military bases on 3 of 4 sides of the other ?!

Warmongering is so frustrating, especially since the Lockheed COO said on CNBC recently that he believes we're entering a "3-5 year period of increased defense spending."

[Not to mention that doge didn't even touch the Pentagon]

Everything is just the absolute worst.

Your restraint and concise critique is appreciated. While you don't raise the ascendant policy issues such as HUMINT (human intelligence gathering & analyses), satellite surveillance and our Pay2Play co-opting of what should be PUBLIC INTEREST-driven Media & World Affairs, what Prof Shoshana Zubof refers to in the title of her current globally and nationally influential well-discussed book including this multi-media netcast Town Hall\Public Forum posted to U. of Tube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2s4Y-uZG5zk

Targeting is done in silence. Stealthily delivered Bunker busting B-52 bombing is done in public.

Charlie Kirk and Anderson Cooper jacking off in the same article! Makes me want to

never pay attention to any big media ever again. All they push is fireworks, acceleration of militarism and bigotry.

Obviously there's a fuzzy line at which "I was just following orders" slides from a "leadership is responsible" place to "you're getting convicted at a Nuremberg." I'm curious, with your background if you have thoughts on where/when/if that ever crystallizes for active service members when ordered to do pretty credibly illegal things like this bombing campaign. Having never served, I can't fathom the weight of obedience they train into service members as related by family and friends who have, but still they're not robots. How obvious or clear cut would something have to be before troops refused to act on unconstitutional orders?

At my favorite dive bar yesterday evening, an already inebriated woman bellys up to the bar, orders a cocktail, and declares for all assembled that she's a vet (of the kill people kind, not the help pets kind - her clarification) AND a jew and she knows for a FACT that "those fucking Iranians for 50 years have been thinking of NOTHING else but how to DESTROY the United States of God Bless America!"

Every person in the bar turned away from her, did not engage, and the bartender gave her the weakest drink I've ever seen him pour, in a paper cup - on the house for a veteran - and told her to have a safe evening.

Nobody is falling for this bullshit, except those who never bothered to introspect after we obliterated 200K+ people the last time we got involved in the region.

I was immediately reminded of a 1977 movie Telephon about sleeper agents from USSR activated by phone calls. It was only a so so movie but whenever I hear sleeper cells I think of it. I'm far more concerned about Trump and our own govt and courts using a war with Iran to take away all our rights as citizens abd installing Trump as Dear Leader for life. The potential for horrors and negative outcomes for average non-magat people just went up by quite a bit IMO. Of course the MAGATS better not turn thier back on Trump and Gannon and the marching moron cabinet members either.
